Become a Certified Laser Specialist

Our instructors teach the most sought-after treatments in medical spas and doctors’ offices. The Skin Institute at Thrive was created by Dr. Barry Summers in collaboration with his Medical Esthetic team, who saw a need for advanced esthetic knowledge and laser training for Estheticians, Cosmetologists, Nurses and Beauty Professionals. Medical Spas are a booming industry and Physicians are looking for trained Laser Specialists.

We use a combination of theory, hands-on and demonstrations for all of our medical esthetic and laser therapy courses. Our instructors are here to train you for your future position at a physician-owned medical spa, dermatologist or plastic surgeons office. All esthetics classes are approved by the Illinois State Licensing Board for CEU’s.
